Little B has had a busy life in her first 50+ years. She has performed all her tasks well.

The K denotes the axle rating and hence carrying capacity of the vehicle. The Z shows that she was imported to New Zealand as a "knock down" i.e chassis and engine cowling. The body was built in Christchurch by New Zealand Bodies Ltd. Originally used in the NZAF as a bomber crew transporter. The special feature of this vehicle is the twin tyres on the rear axle which were usually reserved for heavier vehicles of the M and O type. They were added to give increased stability on the high speed dash across the runway!!
